I Have an Issue with Nipples

I knew that would get your attention!

My issue is not really with nipples themselves. My issue is with double standards and hypocrisy. I am sure you all know about the big nipple debate going on over on social media… Men can go around all day long, every day, over on social media with no shirts on and their nipples exposed. However, when a woman tries it, she gets her photo taken down and a message saying that it goes against the terms of service.

So, women’s nipples are just so provocative that we can’t show them? I think it is ridiculous and it’s also flat out discrimination against women/people with female bodies. Men can do it, but women can’t, there it is spelled out in black and white. To me this whole thing is very controlling and repressive. I believe this also adds to the shame that a lot of women have about their bodies (like we need one more thing to be ashamed of so now we can add our nipples to this list also).

The other thing to factor in is gender, what about people that identify with both genders or the opposite gender or neither gender? Basically, social media gets to pick and choose which nipples stay and which must go. Well, sorry you have breasts and your nipples are showing so we are taking your photo down. See, how ridiculous all of this is?
